How to Use

Use AM and PM. Massage a raspberry-sized amount onto dry skin. Add warm water to emulsify, then rinse.

CAN I USE THIS IN A DOUBLE CLEANSE? Yes. Oat Cleansing Balm goes first—it's oil-based and melts away SPF and makeup. Follow with a gel or water-based such as Fulvic Acid Cleanser or Salicylic Acid Cleanser to remove any leftover residue.

DO I NEED A SECOND CLEANSER AFTER THIS? Nope. You can use it solo or follow with another cleanser if you like. Works for both AM and PM.

IS THIS SUITABLE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN? Yes. Colloidal Oatmeal helps calm irritation and reduce redness—ideal for sensitive skin types. Read more about sensitive skin >

IS IT GOOD FOR DRY SKIN? Definitely. This formula is made with dry, delicate skin in mind.

CAN I USE THIS IF I HAVE OILY SKIN? Yes, but it’s designed for dry/sensitive skin. If your skin’s oily and sensitive, you can rotate it with something like our Salicylic Acid Cleanser.

CAN THIS BE USED IF I HAVE ROSACEA OR ECZEMA? It can help, but always patch test first. Apply to your inner arm and wait 24–48 hours to check for a reaction.

CAN I USE IT AS A MASK? Yes. Apply during your second cleanse and leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing. Use 1–2 times a week for an extra hydration boost.

MY BALM IS TOO HARD TO SQUEEZE – WHAT DO I DO? It’s normal. This formula reacts to temperature. If it’s too solid, run the tube under warm water for 30–60 seconds to soften it.

MY BALM IS TOO RUNNY – IS THAT OKAY? Yes. Balms can soften in warmer temps. Shake it well before use. If it’s still too liquid, pop it in the fridge for 15–30 minutes and store it in a cool place.

HOW LONG TO SEE RESULTS? Give it up to six weeks. Skin takes time to renew. Stay consistent, but don’t overdo it—more isn’t better and can lead to sensitivity.

I like that my skin feels hydrated after the use, but the balm and the oil separate and it causes breakouts if I don't wash it off with another cleanser

Needs different packaging
This is an extremely thick formula and I find it awkward to squeeze out of the tube - possibly exacerbated slightly by living in a cold house. I would much prefer it in a tub. Otherwise it does the job of removing makeup and is very gentle on skin. I do find it can leave residue without thorough rinsing or sometimes using a second cleanser.
